Few traders ever stop to consider the context that defines the foreign exchange marketplace, but all of them should. As forex matures in its role as a retail investment environment the rules, and the stakes, will only multiply. Scott Owens examines the forces that move the currency markets.
Mr Owens likens the Forex market to a school of swimming fish, where one moment harmony reins, while the next moment all is chaos. He asks if as a trader, you would be able to predict the direction the school next adopts, and if you'd be willing to bet on it. Suggesting that it is far better to trade with a plan, he goes on to examine the forces which move the market, giving the trader food for thought.
